Launching London for associations
06 June 06
IMEX 2006 sees the launch of Visit London’s dedicated Associations guide. The brand new resource, has been produced as an insert to accompany Visit London’s Official Business Guide, which focuses on London’s best assets as a global events destination.
London for Associations will highlight all that London has to offer the association market, as well as including case studies and information on how Visit London’s dedicated associations team can help with free and impartial advice when clients are looking to hold an event in the UK capital.
The Union of International Associations (UIA) survey ranks London as one of the top ten destinations for association events, highlighting the importance of the sector to London and the need for a bespoke resource for the market.
Visit London’s Client Services Manager Associations, Helen Horsfield, says, “We’re delighted to be able to launch this crucial support tool for the association sector. It is a sector that is hugely important for London and contributes greatly to growth of the city.”
The guide covers all areas relevant to associations including travel and transport, accommodation, conference facilities, social programmes and London on a budget. Also featured is a section on ‘Future London’, covering significant future developments in venues, transport and infrastructure; all key information with London set to be transformed in the run up to and after the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
London for Associations will be available on the London Pavilion stand F420 throughout IMEX
