London to AIME higher in 2010

25 February 10

Visit London’s long-haul business team has announced that they are once again to participate in exhibition trade show AIME which takes place in Melbourne from 02-03 March.
AIME (Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo), now in its 18th year is the leading event for the meeting and incentive industry, showcasing the best Australian, Asia-Pacific and international destinations, products and services.

Around 6,000 people visit the two-day trade show which is held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
As well as supporting the event Visit London will also be hosting their own stand at the event (stand # 3822), which will be hosted by Chris FJ Lynn, Sales & Marketing Director, North America & Long Haul.

Commenting on Visit London’s participation Lynn said: “We are extremely excited about being part of AIME again this year. This is the third time that Visit London has attended the event and we look forward to continuing to understand the market and developing further relationships. Last year was so successful, we hope to build on the momentum and gain further industry contacts. The Asia-Pacific market has always been very important for London and right now, we want to understand how we can grow the commercial opportunities available. Investment, tourism and the friends & family market have been strong for a number of years. We now want to understand better the outbound business groups market.”

He added “For 2010 our key message is the new content that London has to offer – new transport, regeneration and major business benefits such as ExCeL London’s phase two opening and the wealth of new hotels opening this year such as Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. We will also be highlighting the major business objectives and hospitality offerings for London both pre and post the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.”
